Berberine hydrochloride

Berberine hydrochloride (CAS 633-65-8) is manufactured directly by Nanjing Spring & Autumn Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. in pharmaceutical grade under in-house standards, presented as yellow crystals with a broad antimicrobial spectrum against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including hemolytic streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, and Vibrio cholerae, with stronger inhibitory activity against meningococcus, Shigella, Salmonella typhi, and diphtheria bacilli. It also shows some inhibitory effect on influenza viruses, amoebae, leptospira, and certain skin fungi, and does not exhibit cross-resistance with penicillin or streptomycin; the product is distributed across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
