Carbetocin Injection

Manufactured by Cisen Pharmaceutical, this Carbetocin Injection (1ml:100mcg) is a synthetic, long-acting nonapeptide analogue of oxytocin that binds uterine oxytocin receptors to produce rhythmic contractions, used after elective epidural or lumbar anesthesia cesarean section to prevent uterine contraction weakness and postpartum hemorrhage. A single 100-microgram intravenous dose has been shown to be significantly more effective than placebo at preventing uterine hypotonia and reducing postpartum bleeding. Samples are available, and it is sold across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
