Copovidone VP/VA64 (CAS 25086-89-9), manufactured by Shanghai Yuking New Material Technology Co., Ltd in pharmaceutical, food, and veterinary grades to ChP, USP, BP, EP, and JP standards, is a 6:4 N-vinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymer that readily absorbs moisture and holds its plasticity under varying compression force, giving tablets good hardness as a preferred dry binder in direct compression as well as a granule/capsule adhesive and tablet coating film-former.
