Segmented-flow micro photoreactor

The Segmented-Flow Micro Photoreactor, manufactured by Beijing Perfectlight Technology under its PerfectLight brand, uses an ordered gas-liquid slug flow structure to convert continuous photochemical synthesis from an unpredictable process into a precisely controllable micro-element reaction. It delivers a very narrow residence time distribution for consistent light exposure, mass transfer coefficients one to two orders of magnitude higher than conventional reactors, and a thin liquid film design that overcomes light-shielding in high-concentration or dark-colored systems, making it suited to gas-liquid photosensitive oxidation and hazardous-gas photoreactions such as photo-chlorination or photo-hydrogenation. It is sold across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
