Professional Summary
I am an MSc student in Drug Discovery and Safety at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specialising in Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD). My current interests lie in molecular dynamics simulations, protein-ligand interactions, and the structure-based investigation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) in drug discovery.
I hold a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where I completed my thesis on the synthesis of efficient and selective ligands for diagnostic applications (Hatékony és szelektív ligandumok szintézise diagnosztikai célokra).
Prior to my MSc, I worked for over three years as a student researcher in the medicinal chemistry lab of Prof. György M. Keserű at HUN-REN RCNS, Budapest, where I gained extensive experience in synthetic chemistry.
I am co-author of a preprint titled Versatile Palladium-catalysed C–H Arylation of Fluoroarenes with 2-Chloropyridine Derivatives: An Experimental and Mechanistic Study, in which we developed a streamlined and cost-effective method for synthesising 2-(fluorinated aryl)pyridines. The work combined experimental protocol development with DFT-based mechanistic insights, aiming at sustainable fluorinated compound synthesis with relevance to materials science and medicinal chemistry.
