ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

I studied Bachelor of Pharmacy at Bapatla College of Pharmacy affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad, India from 2002-2006. I was an average student at that time. But, my teachers, Dr. Abbulu K, Dr. Babu Rao Chandu, Dr. Ramalingam P. etc., who taught us different modules of Pharmaceutical Sciences have shown their unique impact on my understanding and learning capabilities that greatly affected my view as a professional student. During their classes, I keenly well-informed theory and practical sessions which impressed me to think about the master degree. To fulfill this, I had qualified National level Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2007 and secured a seat in Pharmaceutical Analysis at KVSR Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vijayawada (Affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur). During my Masters, I worked under Dr. Gananadhamu Samanthula and gained the essential skills to carry out research in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of synthetic drugs, drug products and the molecules of natural origin. Thereafter, a strong desire of mine was to become a teacher and researcher in pharmaceutical and natural chemistry. After completion of M. Pharmacy in 2009, I joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance at Vignan Pharmacy College, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. I have registered as a Ph.D. candidate at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK), Andhra Pradesh, India in 2012. I have completed part of my dissertation work here in India with the facilities available within my University and other organizations. Much of my research from 2009 to 2011 was on analytical chemistry involving the development of new analytical methods for the drug molecules and marketed pharmaceutical formulations by using various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques as well as phytochemical analysis and standardization of polyherbal formulations. I was motivated and inspired to do research work on the polyherbal formulations and Phytochemistry areas due to strong need of phytopharmaceuticals as an alternative medicine for the 21st century in the cure of uncured diseases. The other important reason for my chosen field is that there may be a potential growth in natural product research involving bioactivity-guided isolation of therapeutically useful compounds from phytochemically and biologically less explored important plants of India used in traditional medicine.
