Professional Summary
My journey into public health and health informatics began during my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) studies in India, where I conducted a research project on the prevalence and risks of self-medication. While working directly with patients and collecting field data, I realized how much more impact I could create if I had the skills to organize, analyze, and interpret health data meaningfully. That realization became the turning point that led me to pursue a master’s in health informatics at Indiana University, Indianapolis (IUI).
At IUI, I deepened my skills in data management, analytics, and healthcare systems. I worked on projects using real-world data - including predictive modeling of ICU-admitted hepatitis patients using MIMIC-IV and evaluating service access for individuals with autism through statewide ECHO programs. These experiences confirmed my belief that data, when handled correctly, can drive better care, inform public health strategies, and promote health equity.
Currently, I serve as a Clinical Systems Analyst at Monroe Hospital - Prime Healthcare, where I support EHR optimization and understand the operational backbone of health systems. This role is helping me connect the dots between data capture and retrieval, clinical workflows, and broader population outcomes - an essential foundation for someone passionate about public health innovation.
With a strong foundation in clinical care, a growing skillset in informatics, and a deep personal commitment to improving community health, I aim to contribute to data-informed solutions that make healthcare more accessible, equitable, and proactive.
