Facility Director/Chief Medical Director

Currently, I work as the Facility Director of Matsubara Tokushu-en, a modern healthcare facility for the elderly. Before that I was the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Nippon Shinyaku, a Japan based R&D pharmaceutical company. The role covered leadership in medical governance, medical authority, safety advising, science and ethics review, and patient insight/PPI review, as well as supervisising clinical development programs. The basis of skill and knowledge as pharma physician is developed while in GSK. The achievement is marked as over 30 approval/launces of new medicines, change management facillitation and team buidlings. Originally, I spent my fruitful years in the highly academic activities in the university and the medical center. In such research activities, I achieved varieties of the innovative milestones of medical science in those years. Thise inculde biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, systems biology and bioethocs. My important face as a physician was nurtured during a leader position in the management of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University Hospital and the chief medical director at the Medical Center. Up to current, more than a quarter of a century I also have been dedicated to the education activities of bioethics for young medical and nursing students at several universities. My overall picture can be an ethical and scientific leader at the medical and pharmaceutical environment.
