Professional Summary
Pharmacist and clinical researcher with extensive expertise in health sciences, evidence-based medicine, and pharmacovigilance. I hold a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MSc in the Management of Ageing and Chronic Diseases from the University of Thessaly, and an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology at the Hellenic Open University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Research at the Medical School of the University of Patras.
In my role as Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) and Research Specialist in the pharmaceutical industry, I am actively involved in the end-to-end management of clinical trials. This includes study design and protocol development, securing approvals from national regulatory authorities, trial monitoring, final study report development and assisting in statistical analyses. I also review and critically appraise scientific literature to support new product development, detect potential safety signals, and manage product safety throughout their lifecycle.
My professional experience spans community pharmacy, where I gained expertise in patient care and medication management, as well as scientific affairs, with a focus on nutrition and natural health products. My research interests include clinical trial design, pharmacovigilance, chronic disease management, and evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
I am also involved in communicating popular science via social media, debunking health claims with a focus on evidence-based science. I have co-founded the first Greek pharmaceutical podcast called PharmaTalkGR and I also have an English-language channel, called The Greek Pharmacist.
