Dr. Choi is a professor of Environmental Toxicology in School of Public Health at Seoul National University, Seoul Korea. He was trained in veterinary medicine (DVM) and environmental health sciences (MPH, PhD). His studies concern the toxicological consequences and mechanisms of emerging contaminants with an emphasis on endocrine disrupting chemicals. Various aquatic model organisms and cell lines of both human and animal origin are employed for this purpose. His research is also related to exposure to consumer chemicals in sensitive human populations like pregnant mothers, fetus, and infants, and has conducted several population based studies. He has published >200 articles in the area of environmental health sciences.
