Professional Summary

After my undergraduate studies in Pharmacy at the University of Murcia (2013-2018) as well as concluding my first scientific research experience at the IMIB, I decided to move abroad to carry out a MSc in Cancer Pharmacology at the London Metropolitan University (2018-2019), United Kingdom. During this time, I joined Radoslav Enchev’s Vsiaul Biochemistry lab at The Francis Crick Institute to start a research project focused on the study of RecA recombinase kinetics by time-resolved Cryo Electron Microscopy and single molecule fluorescence. Driven by a fascination for structural biochemistry and the discovery of new medicines I joined AstraZeneca in 2019 in Cambridge, UK - working as a Protein Scientist within Discovery Sciences R&D responsible for producing, purifying and characterising recombinant proteins which represent disease targets for the discovery of novel drug candidates focused on oncology and neuroscience, among other therapy areas. Next, I decided to join BenevolentAI as a Biology Project Leader supporting the AI-enabled drug discovery strategy of programs in the small-molecule portfolio. In Oct '23 I joined groundbreaking team at Isomorphic Labs whose aim is to leverage the power of AI/ML to revolutionise Drug Discovery as we know it.
