Assistant Professor

Ms. Shagufta Bano Ashrafuddin Farooqui is presently working as an Assistant Professor and pursuing her Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. S. S. Patil at the School of Pharmacy, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU), Nanded. She completed her M.Pharm in Pharmacology from Nanded Pharmacy College (NPC) in 2019 and possesses six years of teaching and research experience. She has qualified the GPAT examination twice (2017 & 2020) and the PET examination in 2021. Her research areas include Pharmacology, Drug Discovery and Development, Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, Standardization and Characterization of Bioactive Molecules, Research Methodology and Biostatistics, and Herbal Drug Technology. She has published 17 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed, UGC-approved, Scopus-indexed and Web of Science journals, authored 8 books, and holds 5 patents. She has actively participated in 48 workshops, seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs, and delivered 2 guest lectures as a resource person. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, Maze Master, ChemDraw, CAI software, ICT tools, and AI tools. At her institution, she plays a key role as a Class Teacher for Postgraduate Students, GPAT mentor, advisor for research scholars, and mentor for Avishkar competition participants, many of whom have won prizes under her guidance. Her dedication and excellence have been recognized through several prestigious awards. She secured First Prize in the Avishkar Competition at both District and University Levels (2023 & 2024), achieved 1st Rank in the National Level Conference on Pharmaceutical Technology: Advances in Research and Challenges in Novel Formulation (2023), and received Second Prize in an International Conference for her research presentation. She has also contributed to institutional quality enhancement by working under NAAC Criteria–2 (Teaching and Learning Evaluation Process). A member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Research (APR), Ms. Shagufta continues to make significant contributions to the fields of pharmacology, drug research, and academic excellence
