Professional Summary
I am a registered Pharmacist Independent Prescriber with over 15 years of experience across both secondary and primary care settings. With a strong clinical background, I previously trained as a Frailty Advanced Clinical Practitioner at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, developing specialist expertise in the care of older adults and complex multimorbidity.
Transitioning into primary care, I have focused on medicines optimisation and delivering enhanced healthcare services within care home settings and workforce development. As a passionate advocate for safe prescribing and healthcare education, I worked as a medical educator at the University of Nottingham between 2016-2020, where I taught therapeutics and safe prescribing modules to medical students. In addition to clinical and teaching roles, I am an author and editor for the Prescribing Safety Assessment Team at the British Pharmacological Society, contributing to national standards in prescribing safety. I am actively engaged in research and have collaborated on several projects in frailty and pharmacy education, publishing three peer-reviewed papers since 2023.
