Pharmacist

Nicholas Muparadzi is a pharmacist based at the Drug and Toxicology Information Services (DaTIS). The Drug and Toxicology Information Service (DaTIS) is a unit within the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Zimbabwe, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences which is also supported by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) as a mission set up in 1979. The unit is also recognized by the World Health Organisation as a poisons information centre and is listed as such on the WHO website. DaTIS has traditionally provided consultation to mostly health care professionals and, to a smaller extent, the general public on drug information and toxicological/poisoning related issues. Nicholas Muparadzi is also actively involved in the International Pharmaceutical federation (FIP), where he was elected to serve as the Chairperson of Public relations for the Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) in the 2025 Steering Committee. Nicholas was recently working in the Global Pharmaceutical Observatory (GPO) team at the International Pharmaceutical Federation. Lastly, Nicholas Muparadzi is also the IP Chairperson of Pharmacists Against Drug Abuse (PADA), in the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe (PSZ), and also the PSZ Mashonaland/Manicaland branch chairperson.
