Research Director

Dr. Hartkoorn received his PhD in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of Liverpool (UK). Dr. Hartkoorn then joined the group of Prof. S. Cole at the EPFL (Switzerland) as a postdoctoral researcher, driving various R&D projects for novel anti-tuberculosis drugs in the context of European programs: NM4TB and MM4TB. Since then, Dr. Hartkoorn started his own research team at the Institut Pasteur of Lille focusing on Antibacterial Drug Discovery and Development with current research programs focusing on the development of novel anti-tuberculosis drugs, improving antibiotic uptake by making biomimetic Trojan horse antibiotics (ERC-CoG), and the development of efflux pump inhibitors to revert antibiotic resistance.
