Turkish public university in Antalya on the Mediterranean coast, founded in 1982. Runs faculties of medicine with its own large teaching hospital, dentistry, health sciences, science and agriculture together with institutes of health sciences and natural and applied sciences, and carries out research in medicinal and aromatic plants of the Mediterranean, natural products and food chemistry, biotechnology, oncology and clinical medicine, with a clinical research centre running trials at the university hospital.
