American private university at Aurora in Illinois, founded in 1893 as a seminary at Mendota and moved to Aurora in 1912, with a further campus at Williams Bay in Wisconsin. Teaches undergraduate and graduate programmes in nursing, biology and biochemistry, health science, social work, athletic training and business, and runs its own teaching laboratories and simulation facilities with clinical placements in Illinois health services.
