Scottish rural general hospital in Lerwick on Shetland, the islands' only hospital, run by NHS Shetland. Provides emergency care, general medicine and surgery, maternity, paediatrics and outpatient clinics with visiting consultants from mainland hospitals, high dependency care and diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, and runs its own hospital pharmacy supplying the wards and the islands' health centres.
