Algerian public university at El Oued in the south east of the country, founded as a university centre in 2008 and made a university in 2012, named after the martyr Hamma Lakhdar. Teaches through its faculty of nature and life sciences with biology and biochemistry, its faculty of exact sciences with chemistry, and its faculty of medicine, and carries out research on the medicinal plants and dates of the Souf region, natural products, biotechnology and food science with its own laboratories.
