Develops medicines that restore the fluid layer on airway and other epithelial surfaces, above all inhaled inhibitors of the epithelial sodium channel for cystic fibrosis and other muco-obstructive lung diseases, worked on these programmes in collaboration with Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and also studies dry eye and other epithelial conditions.
