Portuguese professional order and regulator of pharmacists, founded in 1972 and based in Lisbon, known in English as the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. Registers and licenses pharmacists across community, hospital, industry, analysis and regulatory practice, sets the professional code of ethics and disciplinary rules, runs specialist colleges and continuing professional development, publishes the Revista Portuguesa de Farmácia and represents Portuguese pharmacists in national health policy and in European and international pharmacy bodies.
