Turkish public university at Edirne in eastern Thrace, founded in 1982 out of earlier faculties of the region. Teaches pharmacy, medicine, dentistry and health sciences alongside engineering, science, education and the arts, runs its own university hospital for clinical teaching and trials, keeps laboratories in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy and pharmacology and carries out research on medicinal plants and drug analysis.
