Canadian biomedical research institute on the University of British Columbia campus in Vancouver, founded in the nineteen eighties with support from the Wellcome Foundation and long known for immunology and monoclonal antibody work. Ran research in immunology and inflammation, multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammation, transplantation and antibody engineering with its own antibody production and flow cytometry facilities, and its people and facilities have been taken into the university's School of Biomedical Engineering and other departments.
