Universidad de La Rioja

Spanish public university at Logroño in La Rioja, created in 1992 out of the university college that had belonged to Zaragoza. Teaches chemistry, nursing, biomedical engineering and food science together with engineering, law and the humanities, runs the Centre for Research in Chemical Synthesis and the Institute of Grapevine and Wine Sciences with the regional government and the national research council, and carries out research in organic and organometallic chemistry, catalysis and food chemistry.
