Portuguese public research university in Porto, founded in 1911 out of older polytechnic and medical schools and the largest university in the country by student numbers. Teaches across fourteen faculties including pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, sciences, engineering, nutrition and food sciences, economics and the humanities, and its Faculty of Pharmacy awards the integrated master in pharmaceutical sciences with research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, toxicology and pharmacology through its associated research institutes.
