Brazilian public state university of São Paulo, founded in 1976 by bringing together institutes and faculties across the state and now teaching on more than twenty campuses. Its Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Araraquara is one of the country's leading pharmacy schools, teaching pharmacy and biochemical pharmacy and running research in drug design and synthesis, pharmaceutical technology, natural products, clinical analysis and toxicology, and the university also runs medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, chemistry and biosciences faculties with their own hospitals and research institutes.
