Italian public university at Pavia in Lombardy, whose origins go back to 1361 and which is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Teaches through departments of drug sciences with pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry and technology, medicine and surgery with the San Matteo teaching hospital, biology and biotechnology, chemistry and public health and experimental and forensic medicine, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and toxicology, forensic toxicology and biotechnology with its own laboratories.
