French public research university in Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in its present form since the 2014 merger of three of the city's universities, with teaching dating to 1441. Its health sciences college runs the UFR des sciences pharmaceutiques teaching the French pharmacy degree and industrial and hospital pharmacy pathways, alongside medicine, dentistry and biology, and the university hosts the Bordeaux Population Health research centre known for pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance and works with the Bordeaux university hospital on clinical trials.
