Universiteit Leiden

Dutch public research university in Leiden, founded in 1575 and the oldest university in the Netherlands, with a further campus in The Hague. Its Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research within the Faculty of Science is one of the leading pharmaceutical research institutes in Europe, working on drug discovery and safety, medicinal chemistry, systems biomedicine and pharmacology, and the Leiden University Medical Center runs clinical pharmacology, the Centre for Human Drug Research collaboration and a large clinical trial programme.
