The Korean bio‑health sector achieved its strongest August export performance on record, according to a report released by the Korea Bio‑Pharmaceutical Association.
Export sales in August rose 22.3% year‑on‑year to $1.41 billion, bringing the total export value for the year to $12.11 billion.
The growth is attributed to rising global demand for contract manufacturing and expanding overseas market share of key Korean bio‑pharmaceutical products. The association also notes that domestic companies are preparing strategic responses to evolving global regulatory environments, including the adoption of animal‑alternative testing methods.
