Hecto Group is undertaking the development of an artificial‑intelligence (AI) medical device aimed at supporting early diagnosis of lung cancer and predicting recurrence after surgery. The company plans to combine AI technologies accumulated across various fields with clinical data to expand its business into the medical sector and accelerate entry into the medical‑AI market.
On the 1st of the month, HAI (Hecto AI), the group’s AI dedicated organization, announced its participation in the “OnKoTECT” consortium, which is centered around Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. The consortium is carrying out a national digital‑health project under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s “Bio Industry Technology Development” program. OnKoTECT is coordinated by the hospital, with involvement from researchers such as Kim Jae‑yong.
The collaboration aims to advance AI‑driven solutions for lung cancer early detection and post‑operative recurrence forecasting.
