Tiểu sử

Aya Emam is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong background in medicinal chemistry and molecular modelling. She completed her undergraduate studies at Zagazig University, Egypt, graduating with a bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2014. Building on this foundation, she pursued a Master’s degree at Zagazig University, specializing in medicinal chemistry, which she got in 2020. Driven by a passion for advanced research, Aya went on to get a PhD in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Manchester in 2025. Her doctoral research focused on Designed and implemented computational workflows integrating molecular docking (OpenEye/FRED, GOLD), homology modeling, virtual screening, molecular dynamics simulations (GROMACS, AMBER), and free energy calculations (MM-PBSA, MM-GBSA, ABFE) to identify and optimise novel small-molecule inhibitors of fibrosis targeting integrins/cell surface receptors. Aya’s research interests include medicinal chemistry, drug design and computational modelling. She has published in reputable journals and presented her work at national and international conferences.
