Carolina de Freitas Lopes completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2024 from UBI and she is currently in MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the same University. Since joining UBI in 2021, Carolina has been actively engaged in academic and extracurricular activities that enhance her expertise in biomedical sciences. She has attended multiple national scientific conferences, including the XII and XIII National Biomedical Sciences Conferences and the VI Biomedical Conferences Series. Additionally, she participated in the seminar on Wearable Technologies for Healthcare, which deepened her understanding of innovative healthcare solutions. Beyond coursework, Carolina has been involved in student representation, serving as a member of the Biomedical Sciences Student Association (BiomedUBI) since 2022. She was also part of the organizing committee for the XIV Biomedical Sciences Conferences at UBI, demonstrating her leadership and organizational skills. In addition to her academic pursuits, Carolina is committed to social impact initiatives. She has volunteered with the Food Bank Against Hunger, contributing to food collection and distribution efforts, and participated in the Refood Summer Volunteering Program, helping reduce food waste and support local communities.
