Erfan Younesi has two Master degrees in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and PhD degree in Systems biology from University of Bonn, Germany, His areas of expertise are translational bioinformatics and systems medicine. He currently holds a joint position in an IMI project as research scientist between Boehringer Ingelheim and Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. He has been working with pharmaceutical companies such as UCB Pharma, Merck Serono, and Boehringer Ingelheim for more than 7 years on disease modeling and systems-based discovery of new drugs. Dr. Younesi is a member of expert panel on disease modeling in the European Society for Translational Medicine (EUSTM) and also provides scientific advice to the European Association for Predictive, Preventive & Personalized Medicine (EPMA).
