Currently, I am a graduate student at the Population Health School at Duke University. I hold a master’s degree in clinical pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), one of Jordan’s top institutions, where I also earned my bachelor’s degree with the highest distinction among 357 students. I managed to publish a paper that was drafted out of my dissertation in a well-respected journal. I worked in different pharmacies in Jordan as a part of my training and internship to fulfill my degree in pharmacy. As a graduate student with a clinical pharmacy master’s degree, I had the chance to practice at the hospital in different units, including the ICU as a clinical pharmacist. During my master’s program, I focused on evaluating the barriers and facilitators of adherence to anti-retroviral therapy (ART) among patients with HIV and their need for pharmaceutical care in Jordan. This experience sparked a broader interest in prevention-based healthcare and the role of education and interprofessional collaboration in shaping better health outcomes. My academic and professional interests lie in advancing disease prevention through pharmaceutical care and public health strategies. I am particularly passionate about enhancing the role of pharmacists in preventive care and integrating clinical pharmacy services into broader population health frameworks. I am eager to pursue a Ph.D. focused on implementing health and pharmacy science to deepen my research capabilities and contribute meaningfully to improving community health outcomes.
