I completed my Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of New South Wales under the supervision of Professor Naresh Kumar. I received my Master’s degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Chongqing Medical University. My research lies at the interface of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, focusing on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of novel anticancer agents based on quinone scaffolds. I have also developed new synthetic methodologies employing Lawesson’s reagent and investigated enzyme-mediated mechanisms relevant to drug discovery. My broader research interests include drug design, structure–activity relationship studies, and the development of small-molecule therapeutics targeting metabolic pathways in cancer. I am currently working as a Senior Chemist at AgriFor Scientific Pty Ltd, where I am responsible for analytical method development, impurity profiling, and quality control of agrochemical products in a GLP-compliant laboratory environment.
