Dicyclopentadiene (CAS 77-73-6, molecular formula C10H12) is a pharmaceutical-grade product supplied, not manufactured, by Puyang Shenghuade Chemical Co., Ltd., offered across quality tiers from a 90% qualified grade up to a 98%-plus best grade, appearing as a light-yellow, colorless, transparent liquid or ice-like solid (density 0.976 g/cm3 at 35C, boiling point 170C, melting point about 32.5C, flash point around 32C). It serves as a raw material for adamantane, metallocenes, norbornene, epoxy-resin curing agents, and flame-retardant chlorinated DCPD, with applications spanning medicine, pesticides, fragrance, and synthetic rubber, and is also used as a high-energy fuel and in high-performance laser diode and solar-cell manufacturing; it requires sealed, cool, ventilated storage away from open flame and oxidizers.
