10-Hydroxycamptothecin (10-HCPT, CAS 19685-09-7/64439-81-2, C20H16N2O5) is an industrial-grade alkaloid derived from Camptotheca acuminata and a key intermediate in synthesizing irinotecan and topotecan. As a topoisomerase I inhibitor, it has shown activity against colorectal, lung, and ovarian cancers and leukemia; it appears as a yellow crystalline powder with limited water solubility but better solubility in DMSO, and its stability is pH-dependent, degrading under alkaline conditions.
