Ampicillin (molecular formula C16H19N3O4S, CAS 69-53-4), a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic of the penicillin group that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, is supplied at pharmaceutical grade to Chinese Pharmacopoeia and Ph. Int. standards by Ningbo Pangs Chem Co., Ltd., which does not manufacture it directly but offers samples.
