Bisoprolol fumarate

Bisoprolol Fumarate (CAS 104344-23-2) is the fumarate salt of a synthetic, phenoxy-2-propanol-derived cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist used for its antihypertensive and potential cardioprotective effects. Lacking intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, it selectively blocks cardiac beta-1 receptors to reduce heart rate, contractility, and cardiac output, and may further lower blood pressure by inhibiting renin secretion and activation of the renin-angiotensin system; cardioprotective effects have been observed in animal models. Manufactured directly by Brother Enterprises Holding Co., Ltd to pharmaceutical grade meeting USP, ChP, BP, EP, and JP standards, it is currently sold into the North American market, though samples are not provided.
