Copper Gluconate Powder (CAS 527-09-3, molecular formula C12H22CuO14, melting point 155-157°C), manufactured by Shaanxi Yuantai Biological Technology Co., Ltd (established 2014, holding ISO 9001, ISO 22000, Halal, Kosher, HACCP, and FDA certifications) to IP food-grade standards, is a light blue powder that JECFA has evaluated as a useful, safe, and necessary copper supplement, providing 11.68% elemental copper. It is used as a food fortifier and copper supplement to support immunity, iron-deficiency and pregnancy-related anemia, and antioxidant activity, and also serves as an antibacterial agent in medicine, a preservative and color/taste improver in food processing, and a fungicide against plant diseases in agriculture.
