Alison is a UK pharmacy technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Until 2021 she had a national role with NHS England where she led on many high-profile national projects and policy developments relating to community pharmacy; the most notable one being the introduction of the Community Pharmacy Seasonal Flu Vaccination Service in England. Alison is now studying full time for a PhD which is looking at the public health roles of community pharmacies through a whole workforce development lens. Alison also previously held an Honorary Visiting Senior Fellow in Pharmacy Policy role at the University of Bradford. This involved her providing lectures to undergraduate and post graduate pharmacists and serving as a member of the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences External Advisory Board. Alison has a MSc in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care from the University of Leeds. She has been a finalist in a number of leadership awards. Alison is a member and Fellow of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK. Alison is a former Trustee of The Science Council. Alison uses social media to network professionally across the world.
