Biomedical Engineering Researcher

As a biomedical researcher at NASA Glenn Research Center, I am focused on mitigating health risks in microgravity environments to support deep space exploration. My academic background includes a PhD from the University of Kentucky and a postdoc at Cleveland Clinic, where I explored the neural basis of motor-related cognition and applied advanced signal processing to improve brain-computer interface technologies for rehabilitation, particularly for paralysis. I earned my Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Purdue University in 2016. My industry experience spans from start-ups to publicly-traded companies, including a role at Accelerated Rehabilitation Technologies where I developed a VR-based physical therapy program, and a co-op at Zimmer Biomet, where I contributed to the development and production readiness of a novel orthopedic tool.
