A medicinal chemist with particular expertise in the development of peptide therapeutics. Proven track record of leading and advancing peptide therapeutics projects from hit identification to clinical candidate selection. Lead Peptide Chemistry group of Ph.D. and Degree scientists. Responsible for the development of new series/molecules, designing data-driven chemistry plans, guiding the group in the laboratory and contributing to the peptide chemistry project strategy. Involved in the development of multiple drug candidates, including macrocycles incorporating multiple constraints, and peptides conjugated to fatty acids, cholesterol and polymers. Wide knowledge of PK/PD practices to support the development of peptides as therapeutics. Use state-of-the-art peptide synthesis techniques to enable compounds generation. A strong written and verbal communicator with excellent analytical skills, attention to details and comfortable managing projects to completion. Lead customer teleconference, responsive to customer demands, taking care to identify any scope changes that may arise. Experience of drug substance and/or drug product analysis (small molecules and peptides) - HPLC method development and/or validation for large-molecules. Experience in the generation and interpretation of mass spectra data for small and large-molecules
