Tóm tắt chuyên môn
Distinguished Scientist leading an SPR-based biophysical group in Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology at Genentech (South San Francisco), where he supports both small molecule and large molecule drug discovery projects. He received a PhD from Dublin City University (Ireland) and then joined Texas Instruments Inc. (Dallas, Tx), where he lead the development of biosensors employing a miniature SPR-transducer, SPREETA. After leaving Texas Instruments he built the SensiQ Pioneer SPR-based biosensing system which integrated the SPREETA technology and his differentiating dispersion-based dynamic injection capability, a platform that remains available today. He then shifted gear from technology development to supporting drug discovery applications at Takeda (San Diego) before joining Genentech. He is particularly interested in the practical exploitation of mechanistic kinetics across all areas of drug discovery and has over 40 publications in this and related applications.
