Dr Lalit Kumar Varshney is Professor & Head in the department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in SGRRIM&HS, Dehradun. He qualified in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (1998 Batch) from Aligarh Muslim University. Whilst working as resident, he found caring for people with medico-legal problems both challenging and rewarding and sought to extend her knowledge and practice, he studied for a Masters Degree in Forensic Medicine from AMU and completed in 2010. Here he is working as Medico-Legal Expert to benefited for the medical fraternity, Patients and lawyers of various courts. He regularly organizes workshops and conferences with hands on training on Medical Ethics, medico-legal reports etc. Apart of this while accessing the need of students he complete his Advance Course of Medical Education (ACME- Batch 2018B), He has successfully completed more than 34 research projects and more than 60 research projects are going on. Experience- Working as Professor from 29 May 2018 till now, as Associate professor from 14 Feb 2015 till 28 May 2018 and Assistant professor from 23 Nov 2010 till 13 Feb 2015 in Dept. of Forensic Medicine And Toxicology, Shri Guru Ram Rai institute of Medical and Health Science, Dehradun. Done residency of 3 year for course of MD in forensic medicine from Nov. 2007 to Nov. 2010 at Dept. of Forensic Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and residency of 1 year in Shushrut Trauma Centre- Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi From Feb.2005 till Feb 2006 He was awarded with president appreciation award by IMA Uttaranchal state for year 2015-16, with Best Hony Secretary (Large Branch) award by IMA Uttaranchal state for year 2016-17 and honored on Doctor’s day (1st July 2016) by Indian medical Association, Dehradun for professional excellence. • Has Authored more than 18 research Articles in National and International Journals. • Authored a books On Public Health • Reviewer: Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, “Journal of Evidence Based Medicine and Healthcare’ (www.jebmh.com). • Working President, National Medicos organization Uttarakhand State branch, 2021-22 • Vice president of Hemophilia society in 2017-21, 2022. • President, National Medicos organization, SGRRIM&HS Campus unit , 2018-21 • Junior Vice President, IMA dehradun Branch for year 2018-19 • Members, IMA AMS, Uttaranchal state for year 2018. • Joint treasurer of National Medicos organization, state branch Uttarakhand for 2018. • Hony Secretary of IMA Dehradun branch for year 2017-18. • Editor of the souvenir of international Symposium “International Update on Pain and Palliative Care 2016” • Worked as office secretary of IMA Dehradun in year 2015-2016. • As treasurer in Resident Doctors’ Association (Aligarh) for successive 2 year in 2008-2009 & 2009-2010. • Involved with various Social Organization Like Humans for humanity, HOPUP, Pahal Welfate society for devoting himself in public health and awareness since 2003. • He is Life Member and member of more than 8 council and association.
