Tóm tắt chuyên môn

Nauman Memon is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the School of Life Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, supported by a China Scholarship Council (CSC) fellowship. He conducts research under the supervision of Prof. Yifan Chen, whose group develops electromagnetic medical imaging and sensing methods for the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. His research interests sit at the intersection of computational neuroscience, biomedical signal processing, and machine learning. Current and prior work spans the classification of neurological disorders (epilepsy prognosis on FPGA-based embedded platforms), neural-state monitoring from physiological signals (real-time drowsiness and vigilance detection using computer vision), and the development of optimization frameworks for noisy biomedical inverse problems with applications to targeted intervention in neural and oncological tissue. He has a particular interest in translating efficient machine-learning models onto resource-constrained hardware for clinical and point-of-care neuroscience applications. He previously served as a Lecturer at the Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) and at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) in Pakistan, where he taught and supervised undergraduate research in electronics, control systems, and biomedical signal processing. He holds an MS from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, and a BE in Electronic Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro.
