DART Technical Leader and Senior Research Toxicologist

Dr. Holalagoudar has been employed by Corteva Agriscience, Haskell R&D Center, Newark, Delaware, as DART Technical Leader and Senior Research Toxicologist since May 2023. Previously, he had 19 years of experience as preclinical toxicologist having performed several toxicology studies under GLP compliances. He began his career as study director in toxicology at Jai Research Foundation (JRF), India (Oct 2004 to August 2007). He was instrumental in starting DART program at BSL BIOSERVICE Scientific Laboratories Munich GmbH, Munich, Germany (August 2007 to June 2017). Contributed as senior study director and SME for DART at Labcorp Early Development Laboratories, UK (June 2007 to April 2023). He has expertise mainly in Reproductive and Developmental toxicology studies and have good hands-on experience in various laboratory techniques, especially the Embryo-Fetal examination. He received his PhD in April 2005 from the Dept of Zoology from Karnataka University, India. His PhD thesis was focused on organochlorine pesticide and fish toxicity. He has published his original research or reviews articles in peer reviewed journals. He is a certified rat fetal morphologist (RSB in conjugation with UK IRDG). Dr. Holalagoudar is a member of Royal Society of Biology (RSB), and Birth Defects Research and Prevention (BDRP). He is an active member of the HESI DART community where he is involved in several working groups including Fertility scoping, Puberty, and preliminary Embryo Fetal Development (pEFD) concordance. He currently co-leads pEFD concordance scoping project. He is a regular reviewer for Journal of Toxicology Research.
