Victor Harabari is a research scientist, biomedical engineer, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of neuroscience, rehabilitation technology, and medical device regulation. With over eight years of experience spanning clinical research, applied bioengineering, and regulated product development, his work centres on a single question: how can technology meaningfully accelerate recovery for people living with neurological conditions?
He is the founder and CEO of Reneural, a UK-based rehabilitation technology company developing NeuroVive- an XR-based neurorehabilitation platform supporting motor recovery in patients with stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and musculoskeletal conditions. Reneural has established active research collaborations with NHS neurorehabilitation services and several UK universities, with a clear pathway toward NHS adoption and international expansion.
As Research Scientist and Regulatory Lead, Victor has designed and delivered usability studies, feasibility studies, and service evaluations with stroke survivors and clinicians across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings. He leads data processing, statistical analysis, and research dissemination activities, whilst managing Reneural's regulatory strategy and quality management system under UK MDR 2002 and ISO 13485:2016.
Before founding Reneural, Victor worked as an R&D Engineer and Quality Manager at Sonic Medical Systems Ltd in London, supporting experimental design, safety validation, and ISO 13485-compliant documentation for non-invasive medical technologies. Earlier, he completed a biomedical research internship in Romania, conducting signal processing and data analysis in MATLAB within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Victor holds an MSc in Biomedical, Biomechanics and Bioelectronics Engineering from Brunel University London, and a BSc in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa", Iași. He collaborates regularly with Brunel University London, the University of Hertfordshire, Anglia Ruskin University, and Manchester Metropolitan University.
He is driven by a straightforward conviction: neurological rehabilitation is chronically under-resourced, and rigorously validated technology can help close the gap between what is clinically possible and what most patients actually access.
