This multi-licensed facility offers 12,000 L of commercial microbial fermentation capacity across two flexible 6,000 L trains, operating large-scale GMP facilities licensed by the EMA, FDA and MHLW for global clinical and commercial supply. Capabilities include protein refolding, large-scale HPLC, explosion-proof units, chemical modifications to extend molecule half-life, purification-only services for recombinant proteins, several plasmid-based expression systems for E. coli, yeast and Pseudomonas, process and analytical development, and GMP batch-release testing, manufacturing Fab fragments, peptide hormones, plasmid DNA, scaffolds, recombinant proteins, enzymes and recombinant vaccines such as virus-like particles from its Vienna, Austria facility, having brought 20 microbial biopharmaceuticals to market with partners.
